About the position
Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies, electrical enclosures/cabinets, cables, and wire harnesses using a variety of tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, and soldering irons.
Perform point to point wiring and equipment installs for 19-inch commercial and ruggedized enclosures.
Build electrical assemblies in accordance with technical data package and work instructions (written or verbal).
Read, comprehend, and interpret schematic drawings, wire list, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders and reports.
Assist with updating, loading, and verifying software/firmware.
Help configure and test processing, storage, and networking equipment.
Work may be performed in a lab environment or shipboard.
May require travel nationwide and overseas.
High School diploma or equivalent, with 5-7 years’ experience in assembly operations.
Knowledge of a variety of tools, hardware, and processes.
Must be dependable and detailed oriented.
IPC-610, IPC-620, and J-STD-001 certification is a preferred. Previous Miniature/Microminiature repair (2M) or MIL-STD-2000 training is a plus.
Experience with CAT5/6, Fiber, coax cables, shielded wires or solder splices is also a plus.
Current DoD security clearance, or ability to acquire and maintain a DoD security clearance, is required.
