About the position
Best Source and Voyager are looking for a success-minded, forward-thinking team player who wants to take a leading role as a Business Development Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for discovering new sales opportunities, generating new clients, and retaining customer satisfaction. This position does not include managing a sales team, but leading sales efforts, such as prospecting, lead generation, proposal development and delivery, and closing new business. This individual will report directly to our Sales Manager.

Position Responsibilities Include:

SALES ACTIVITY/RESULTS
▪ Generating revenue to meet or exceed sales revenue objectives
▪ Developing and maintaining strong sales activity including prospecting, lead generation, proposal development and delivery, and closing new business
▪ Identifying, targeting and penetrating target accounts at the decision maker level
▪ Developing and growing networking relationships where you can market BSEC/Voyager’s offerings to referral partners.
▪ Prospecting potential client opportunities that fit BSEC’s/Voyager’s ideal customer profile.
▪ Creating a pipeline of opportunities and engaging in ongoing lead generation

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS
▪ Maintaining a deep understanding of customers’ current business objectives and anticipating future needs
▪ Offering solutions that are appropriate for the customer’s business objectives
▪ Conducting quarterly business reviews (QBR’s) to identify ways to increase share and expand business
▪ Partnering with customers to become their supplier of choice

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
▪ Meeting or exceeding revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
▪ Meeting or exceeding profit expectations in all new customer relationships
▪ Providing an accurate sales forecast to the Sales Manager on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis

PRODUCT AND SERVICES KNOWLEDGE
▪ Understanding and effectively communicating the offerings of BSEC/Voyager
▪ Maintaining a strong understanding of the industry and BSEC/Voyager differentiators
▪ Demonstrating an understanding of the customer’s use of BSEC/Voyager’s offerings

Education/Experience:
• 3+ years of outside sales experience; consultative sales preferred
• Some Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) market or similar industry experience preferred
• Background in complex solution sales & selling technical products
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
