About the position
Our client has retained us to find an exceptional General Manager to lead the Value Added Products Business (need an Wire Harness Expert) that is expected to double in size in the next 5 years, driving top and bottom line performance. This is a critical global business within a $1+ Billion segment of our client which is a $14+ Billion industry leading organization that has seen its stock double in the last three years! They are constantly receiving accolades for innovation, manufacturing leadership, inclusion, creative excellence and sustainability excellence. This leader will be earmarked for succession planning and promotion! Total compensation for this role will be up the low $200K's and can go even higher with performance based long term incentive! This role will ideally be based in the Northeast and full relocation will be provided. Remote location will be given consideration for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
*Responsible for P&L and operating levers that drive value creation, managing strategic choices to ensure growth and profitability objectives are being met.
*Set and translate strategy into tactical plans and drive execution to achieve business targets including revenue, standard cost and OI.
*Understand macroeconomic, market trends and disruptor technologies which will impact the business. Anticipate actions to evolve and adapt the business model to external environment.
*Stay apprised of competitors and ecosystems which impact the business competitiveness to anticipate business climate changes and their effect on the organization in the future.
*Influence go-to-market strategy and enhance technical competency of the sales and distribution channel; grow share with key customers and distribution customers.
*Build a highly efficient and optimized manufacturing and engineering platform to drive growth and balance operating costs.
*Build, drive adoption and consistent continuous improvement culture, with use of best practice processes and metrics to drive year-over-year improvements in the execution of product portfolio improvements.
*Extensive experience combining several experiences in Product Management, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain inclusive of experience as a people leader.
*Have demonstrated experience building and leading highly motivated teams.
*Demonstrated commercial and innovative mindset.
*Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or Engineering or similar. MBA highly desired.
