About the position
JOB SUMMARY: The Operations Manager has the primary responsibility for daily supervision of all operations within the given facility, scheduling product deliveries, and adhering to predetermined timelines during the servicing/manufacturing phase of a project. Knowledge of operational processes and procedures is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Provide work direction to inventory and production floor personnel thru regular attendance at planning meetings and conducting weekly meetings with key personnel
• Coordinate operation priorities with management to ensure strategic objectives are met
• Coordinate equipment repairs with department supervisors’
• Coordinate staffing needs with management to include hiring and discipline of operation personnel
• Coordinate scheduling of personnel time off
• Approval of all daily time sheets for operation supervisors
• Conduct performance reviews for direct reports
• Documenting any work place related injuries and communicating with Safety Director/HR Department/Management to be proactive on operation safety
• Ensure that quality control processes are followed during the various stages of service/manufacturing activities
• Administer budgets for operational supplies, tools, etc. to ensure that cost overruns are minimized

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS:
• This position requires a detailed understanding of service based activities, including manufacturing processes and facility capabilities
• An understanding of computer software as MS-Word and Excel is required
• Experience using MRP software in and industrial manufacturing and service based environment is required
• Communication and problem solving skills are required
• Knowledge of both internal and external customer needs and expectations that can be clearly understood, organized, and communicated

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• 4 year degree
• 3 – 5 years of experience

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.
