About the position
Best Source and Voyager are looking for a proven sales leader with the ability to lead and develop a successful team of value-centric, consultative sales people. The candidate must have a demonstrated, proven track record in growing profitable top-line revenue while developing and managing the resources needed to ensure sustainable growth and continued customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will report to the President/CEO of Best Source and Voyager, and is directly responsible for sales growth. It is our hope that this person would grow into a Sales Director role in the near future. They will be a member of the Leadership Team at Best Source and Voyager, and will need to work closely and collaboratively with other members of the team.
This individual will be responsible for enhancing sales productivity and driving profitable growth through building, coaching and developing the sales team, identifying and advancing growth opportunities, and the execution of customer-specific sales strategies. Expansion of the sales team, through the growth of an internal team and expanding the channel team, is expected to occur as the company continues to grow over the next several years. The individual successful in this position will create new and enhance existing critical sales systems and processes, and ensure they are implemented and adopted. In addition, they will gather and bring insights to the management team on sales team activities, market trends, customer feedback, sales results, and forecasts to direct future strategies for continued growth.
• Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, including consistent track record of growing revenue, of which at least 5 years has been in a sales management position building strong teams that achieve results
• 2 years industry experience preferred
• Background in complex solution sales & selling technical products
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Strong people management and coaching skills
• Successful experiences and ability to drive and develop company growth
• Strong selling skills and relationship building
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute a sales plan and hold others accountable to the plan
• Ability to function both as a manager and “hands on” technician as dictated by daily demands
• Potential to grow into a Sales Director role within the near future
• Understanding that selling is very different from leading a sales team
