The Wiring Harness Manufacturer’s Association® (WHMA) was established in 1993 to serve and dedicate their resources to the global cable and wire harness industry.  WHMA is the ONLY trade association exclusively representing the cable and wire harness manufacturing industry including manufacturers, their suppliers and customers.

Executive Summary

The Wire Harness Manufacturers Association (WHMA) is a non-profit association dedicated to promoting the interests of wire harness manufacturers and their stakeholders.

The focus of this Strategic Plan encompasses (5) five “key areas of focus” that will support the evolution of WHMA’s Vision to Lead, Educate and Connect the wire harness industry.

These key areas shall serve as the cornerstone of the strategic framework, guiding WHMA’s efforts with precision and purpose, and laying the groundwork for the sustained growth of both the association and the wire harness industry as a whole.

As part of WHMA’s objectives, WHMA has established an important partnership with IPC, who is a leading source for industry standards and training, to produce the only industry-consensus standard for Requirements and Acceptance of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies, “The IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standard Revision E”.
