M-EXPO’s inaugural year with the show in part initiated as a response to the interest of exhibitors who participated in EXPO-MRO show the last couple of years. Many of these exhibitors expressed interest in selling industrial tooling and equipment for manufacturing in a show more focused to their needs. There is currently no industrial equipment exhibition of this type in the Juarez/El Paso region despite being an area with a high concentration of manufacturing activity. In Juarez alone, there are 300,000 manufacturing jobs and more than 300 maquiladoras. It is estimated that 25% of these companies are in the wire harness or related industry. M-EXPO’s goal is to introduce large CMs and OEMs with suppliers of manufacturing equipment and tooling for the automotive, wiring harness, and electronic markets.
